The Digital Photography course is tailored for students with various levels of knowledge and skills using practical based classroom and location workshops to further advance your understanding and working knowledge in photography using your own equipment.

The students whose work you see within the exhibition have created a number of images beyond the single image you see throughout the course. Their work has progressed at an individual pace with various styles of photography emerging throughout the process.

A number of students have either directly or indirectly been affected by cancer within their lives. Such was the strong feeling within the group that they were very enthusiastic to have work seen by patients at the Cheltenham hospital.  The hope was that the photographs would brighten up everyone’s day.

In addition, their tutor suggested an idea of auctioning off the work with the proceeds going to the Focus charity for those affected by cancer. The online auction virtual exhibition pages were kindly setup by Liam Maskell of Introducing Design for anyone who cannot get to the Star gallery but wishes to bid for any of the framed photographs. Thus, the exhibition and the auction came together as you see it today.
